From my experience bluehost has been a security disaster. twice i contacted blue host for my email needs and both times they didn't ask me any questions to identify who i'm. Their questions were website related. I've experienced a few down time also.
also they are quick at answering the phone but very rude and unprofessional.
i have been using them for 8 months overall they are okay but i'd not stay with them if i find a good alternative.

Found the article useful. On further study, I found the Win32::IEAutomation module, which is quite powerful and allows to do almost complete web automation.

It is a simple and neat article for anyone wants to get the power of Perl. How about TAP::Harness? Wont that be useful here ? I feel a great deal is there for a good documentation on building a frame work

I'm trying to do something (maybe) unusual with our Bluehost forum. I'd first like to register our members in "bulk". I've worked out how to connect with the MySQL server and how to load in a full member record, but I can't seem to get it to recognize the passwords. I believe there's some hashing going on but I can find specifics. Any ideas?

The second thing I'd like to do is to bypass the login, either by calling a login function with the username / password or alternatively, passing these into the Login screen to prefill the fields. I'm stumped here too, mainly because I can't even find where the actual code for the login page is kept. That would help.

I'm at the point where I'm willing to pay somebody some $$'s to help me figure this out.

Just want to call out how cool it is that Andy Lester (PETDANCE) posted a comment on my blog. For those who don't know, Andy is the author of WWW::Mechanize, HTML::Lint and a ton of other great Perl modules.

See his work at:
